It has been a while…

Hi all! I’m sorry I have been so lazy to update here. It seemed like we made some of you worry about us, but we all are doing just fine! We are so busy with daily work and stuff… We really appreciate for your care so I will try my best to keep you updated! Thank you always for your heartful care and thoughts!

I’d like to share with you today about Jun’s rehabilitation. He is having all physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy for 1hour each everyday.

PT is his most favorite since he is the truely athlete! In PT, his therapist starts the training with giving massage to Jun. It looks super nice! I’m always jealous of him! Hee hee. The therapist says Jun’s muscle gets so tense very easily and it may give him some pains later on.

Jun needs storonger muscle on his hip to stand and walk right now, so he does some training to build those muscles. It seems like just a practice which he used to do with his teammates. The therapist and I like to make such an atmosphere to encourage him!

He practices to stay standing as well. It is amazing to see him standing. When he moved to this hospital, he couldn’t even stand with support.

At the end of the session, he always practices to walk. Sometimes he uses a walking frame; sometimes he doesn’t use one but the therapist supports him. It seems very difficult to walk for him since he can’t balance or control his legs well. I can see his progress everyweek though, so I’m not super worried about that.

By the way, Jun and his therapist are such a good buddies! I love to see them working together, and feel very thankful to have him as his partner. It is pretty amazing how funny they are together even though Jun barely talks. How can you be funny without any words?!? Still it’s a comedy! I’m very proud of my brother!!!! Great job Jun to make us laugh every day!!

I’ll write about OT next time. Have a great week!
