Voice from Mihori

Hello, friends and families.

Happy New Year! I hope everyone is having a good one. How are you? I’m doing pretty good. As you’ve seen, Mama has updated posts these days and I hope you’ve got some ideas how Jun is doing from the pictures. I finally get time to write a note about what was going on.

Until the midnight of December 17, Jun had been doing great job at everything. He never stopped progressing and amazing us. He went to a rehabilitation center three times a week and a swimming pool once a week. He even practiced walking without a cane. Unfortunatelly, he went into a spasm at midnight, December 17, and was taken to an ER. We were shocked and had no idea what happened because we didn’t know that he might have a side effect like that from the accident. We stayed at the hospital all night waiting him to wake up, but he eventually woke up after four days of “sleep”.

His doctor didn’t find any new damages in his brain from the spasm, which is good to hear. However, Jun needs to be medicated for his whole life now to “reduce” a chance to have a spasm again. It is scary that we never know when to have another one again but it will surely happen…

He came home on December 30. It seems the new medicine makes him tired easily, but he has adjusted pretty well. He struggled walking first, but now, he’s getting better again. He will have his routine back next week. One sad fact is that he shouldn’t have alcohol anymore. From now on, he and I will enjoy “non-alcohol beer” Haha!

I’m sorry that I couldn’t tell you the detail so long. You must have been worried by just seeing pictures. Thank you so much for the messages and prayers! We are back being “ourselves” and keep going forward!! 🙂

I will try to write more often this year! I am always thinking of all of you though. Thank you thank you thank you for your love!!

I wish you all happy 2011!! Hope to see you this year!

love,
mihori
