Summer Greetings to all our American families and friends!

Hello everyone! How’s the summer over there? It’s been extremely hot and humid here in Tokyo this year.
Oh my goodness, it has been 8 months since I wrote one in English here. I really hope some people still keep reading this…anyway, here’s some update of us!
It has been almost two years since the accident and a year since he got out of the hospitals. We can’t believe that much time has gone by. Thank you so much again for your steady love and support for us! Jun has been showing us great progresses. These days, he walks without his cane, takes a shower by himself, writes letters much more beautifully, TALKS too much A LOT, EATS A LOT, and makes us laugh so hard! I wish I could show you how funny/silly he is!! Conversations between parents and him are just commedies!! I am aften surprised to see how fast he responds and how logical his thinking is!
His biggest challenge is remembering things. Recently he recognizes the fact that he can’t remember (it should be hard for him to recognize that but I personally think it’s a part of the progress! He didn’t notice it at all before.) When you give him a clue, it gets much easier for him to recall the memory. As his rehabilitation, he takes PT and OT twice a week, joins the community group twice a week where people with some disabilities get together and do group works, receives acpuncture twice a week, go for a walk quite aften, and does his daily workout every single night. We can’t still let him being completely alone, but he sure does need much less help from us doing his own things.
Papa and Mama are doing pretty good. Not many things have changed about them. Papa still loves spoiling taking care of his big son and Mama still loves being crazily busy, just as you may imagine;) We enjoy seasonal events and cereblations toghether as we had done before.
We hope you are all having a good summer. We miss you all!!!
Love,
Mihori
